BABYSITTING FAQ

WHERE ARE CARLY’S ANGELS CLASSES HELD?

The owners of Fuse Fitness Coaching—Champlin have graciously allowed us to use their space for classes on select Saturdays & Sundays throughout the year! If you do not see a date that works with your schedule, or you are interested in having a class held at your location, please contact us via email at info@carlysangelscpr.com.

Safe & Sound on the Job
Understanding Kids 0-10
Handling Emergencies

Skills testing, including infant and toddler holds, diapering, bottle and spoon-feeding

WILL MY CHILD BE CERTIFIED IN CPR AND FIRST AID?

All babysitting courses come with babysitting certification and first aid training. It is up to you whether your child registers for a class with CPR ($99) or without CPR ($79). Your child will be certified in Pediatric CPR by the American Red Cross once they successfully complete the American Red Cross Babysitter's Training with Pediatric CPR certification.

WILL MY CHILD EARN A CERTIFICATE?

Yes! The American Red Cross will send a printable certificate and wallet card via email after the course has been completed. If your child misses more than 20 minutes of class or refuses to participate in class activities and skills, they will not be able to complete the course that day and will not receive a certificate until they make up the portion they have missed.

WHAT IF MY CHILD HAS ALLERGIES?

At Carly’s Angels, we always use latex-free gloves during skills practice and testing.

Pizza is provided for lunch (choice of pepperoni or cheese) but students are encouraged to bring their own snacks and a bottle of water. If your child cannot or does not want to eat pizza for any reason, please send them with a bag lunch.

WE ARE A GROUP (LIKE A GIRL SCOUT TROOP, A CHURCH YOUTH GROUP, OR A NEIGHBORHOOD BABYSITTER'S CLUB. CAN WE RESERVE OUR OWN CLASS?

Please contact us via email at info@carlysangelscpr.com to work out the details of your Babysitting group course. We can accommodate groups of 5-20 students and we can offer a group class with or without Pediatric CPR certification!

You can cancel a class or change to a new date until 10 p.m. six days before the class takes place. You must email info@carlysangelscpr.com by 10 pm on the Sunday before a Saturday class and by 10 pm on the Monday before a Sunday class.

There is a small fee to cancel or change your class:

Class change fees:

  • At least 1 week before class: $10 fee

  • 6 days before class: no refund (registration is closed)

Class cancellation fees:

  • At least 1 week before class: $15

  • 6 days before class: no refund (registration is closed)

We make every effort to avoid cancelling classes. In the event of a cancellation, we notify the class via email as early as possible, which is generally the morning of the class. In addition, we will call the phone number you provided during registration.
Registration staff will contact you within 5 days to reschedule your child. Once contacted by registration staff, it is up to you to follow up with staff to reschedule your child’s class registration within 6 months of a class cancellation. Reschedule requests beyond this time frame cannot be accommodated.
